Who We Are
My name is Rafael Guzman, and I’ve been fixing heating, cooling, and plumbing problems for the people of Lawrence, North Andover, Methuen, Andover, and all of Middlesex County also Greater Boston for the last 11 years.
I was born in the Dominican Republic and came to Massachusetts as a kid. I grew up here, worked hard, got every certification that matters (NATE, EPA, Master licenses – the whole list), and almost one year ago I started Fireside Heating & Cooling because I was tired of seeing big companies treat people like a ticket number.
This isn’t a “family-owned” company in the classic sense, but it’s 100% family-worked. My crew treats every customer like they’re sitting at our own dinner table.
The Christmas Day I’ll Never Forget
Last year (before Fireside was even official), I got a call on Christmas morning from a panicked dad in Boston. Their boiler died overnight, the house was 48°, and three generations were supposed to be there for dinner. Every other company was closed or wanted triple overtime. I told them “I’m on my way.”
Two hours later the new Burnham boiler was running, the house was warm, and grandma was able to cook her famous pasteles. They tried to tip me extra – I told them to pay it forward instead. That’s the moment I knew Fireside had to exist.
